Albay Journalist Wounded in Shooting Incident
 
Guinobatan, Albay – A local media practitioner was shot this morning in Guinobatan, Albay. The incident occurred at approximately 9:05 AM along Maharlika Highway, Purok-3, Barangay Morera.
 
Initial reports indicate that the victim sustained a gunshot wound. He was initially rushed to JBDAPH in Ligao City and subsequently transferred to BRHMC in Legazpi City for further medical treatment.
 
The Guinobatan Police Station responded to the scene after receiving a report at 10:09 AM. Authorities secured the area and are currently conducting a manhunt operation for the suspect, who fled in an unknown direction.
Guinobatan MPS is coordinating with neighboring police stations to establish checkpoints in an effort to identify and apprehend the suspect. The Albay Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) has been requested to process the crime scene.
