Albay Legazpi City Online Broadcasters Association Condemns Attack on Media Personality Noel Bellen Samar
 
Legazpi City, Albay – The Albay Legazpi City Online Broadcasters Association (ALCOBA) has issued a strong condemnation following a shooting incident that wounded media personality Noel Bellen Samar in Guinobatan this morning.
 
Samar was shot in Morera, Guinobatan, prompting immediate concern from ALCOBA regarding the safety and freedom of the press in the region. In an official statement, ALCOBA expressed deep concern over the act of violence, emphasizing that such attacks endanger journalists and threaten the foundations of a healthy democracy.
 
"We call on law enforcement agencies to conduct a swift and thorough investigation into this incident and to bring the perpetrators to justice," stated Nel Adtoon, President of ALCOBA. The association also urged authorities to provide adequate protection for media practitioners in Albay to ensure they can continue their work without fear of violence or intimidation.
 
ALCOBA has pledged its support for Noel Bellen Samar and his family, wishing him a speedy recovery and vowing to continue advocating for the safety and security of all media professionals in the province. The association stands in solidarity with Samar during this challenging time.
