BM MARONILLA URGES SWIFT ACTION ON PEÑARANDA PARK STAGE CONSTRUCTION

Legazpi City, Albay – During the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Albay, Board Member Das Maronilla delivered a privilege speech emphasizing the need to expedite the construction of the retractable stage at Peñaranda Park.
 
In a subsequent interview with Bicol Net TV, Maronilla explained that his speech aimed to address the stalled progress of the project. With the Christmas season rapidly approaching, he stressed the importance of making the park accessible to the public, particularly children.
 
"It's about time for the DPWH, the Provincial Government of Albay, and the contractor to discuss among themselves how to move forward and make Peñaranda Park available to the public as soon as possible," Maronilla stated.
 
Peñaranda Park has been a subject of public scrutiny following an incident two months ago where a section of the park collapsed, injuring a group of students, one of whom sustained serious injuries. This incident has amplified the urgency to ensure the park's safety and functionality.
 
Maronilla's speech underscores the local government's commitment to resolving the issues surrounding Peñaranda Park and ensuring its timely completion for the benefit of the community.
