Daraga LGU to Provide Monthly Subsidy for Solo Parents
 Daraga, Albay – In a move to recognize and support the invaluable role of solo parents in the municipality, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Daraga, led by Mayor Victor U. Perete, has announced a new initiative to provide financial assistance to registered solo parents.
 
Mayor Perete has proposed an ordinance to the Sangguniang Bayan that would grant a monthly subsidy of ₱1,000 to registered solo parents earning minimum wage or less. The initiative aims to provide significant support to beneficiaries, acknowledging their dual role as both mother and father to their children.
 
"Bilang pagrekognisar sa satun na mga Solo Parents na nagatindog na ama dangan ina sa sayndang mga akos, tulos tang ipinaabot sa Sangguniang Bayan an satun na kamawotan na mag-implementar nin ordinansa na magataw nin ₱1,000 na subsidiya kada bulan sa mga rehistradong solo na magurang na may minimum wage o mas ababa pa na maski papawno makakataw nin dakulong tabang sa satun na mga benepisyaryo," Mayor Perete stated.
 
The mayor emphasized his administration's commitment to implementing concrete steps towards a more compassionate and inclusive governance. This subsidy is one of the key measures designed to alleviate the financial burden on solo parents and ensure the well-being of their families.
 
The proposal is currently under review by the Sangguniang Bayan, and once approved, the subsidy will be rolled out to eligible solo parents in Daraga. The LGU is committed to ensuring a smooth and efficient distribution process to reach all intended beneficiaries.
 
"Padagos pong iiunguwaon san sa’nyong lingkod na makataw nin mga konkretong lakdang pasiring sa mas mapagmakulog dangan inklusibong paggugobyerno," Mayor Perete added, underscoring his dedication to the welfare of Daragueños.
