Daraga Vice Mayor Highlights Transparency in Sangguniang Bayan Amidst Divided Vote on Audit Report
 
DARAGA, ALBAY – A recent Facebook post by Daraga Vice Mayor Love Ruiz emphasized the Sangguniang Bayan's commitment to transparency and honesty in their duties. This comes in the wake of a divided vote concerning an Audit Report.
 
According to the post, Hon. Macasinag submitted a Committee Report related to the Audit Report. During deliberations, Hon. Marcellana opposed the motion to "adopt and approve" it, which led to a split decision among the council members.
 
The voting resulted in one (1) vote in favor, six (6) against, and two (2) abstentions. Despite the opposition, Hon. Macasinag's report was submitted and accepted by the Presiding Officer.
 
Vice Mayor Ruiz stated that such discussions on integrity, accountability, and transparency are vital for honest service to the people of Daraga. She affirmed that these principles will continue to guide their decisions, while maintaining respect, unity, and professionalism within the Sangguniang Bayan.
