Albay Lifts Suspension of Work, Orders Decampment as Typhoon Warning Signals are Removed
LEGAZPI CITY – The Provincial Government of Albay has announced the lifting of the suspension of work in private offices and establishments, effective immediately. This decision comes as Albay is no longer under any Typhoon Warning Signal due to improving weather conditions.
In an advisory (PDRRMC-APSEMO ADVISORY-2025-44) released by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) and the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO), Governor Noel E. Rosal directed all Local Government Units (LGUs) to initiate the decampment of evacuated populations, set to commence at 7:00 A.M. today. The advisory stipulates that City/Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (C/MDRRMOs) must first inspect and certify that it is safe for residents to return to their communities.
The concerned LGUs are tasked with facilitating the decampment process and ensuring the clean-up of temporary shelters.
Additionally, all city, municipal, and barangay DRRMCs are advised to remain vigilant, particularly in areas prone to floods, lahar, flash floods, and landslides. They are instructed to stay alert and standby for official updates and advisories from PAGASA and local authorities.
All C/MDRRMOs are also directed to coordinate closely and submit reports to the PDRRMC.
Governor Rosal emphasized the importance of strict compliance with these directives in the interest of disaster avoidance and public safety.
