Legazpi City, Albay – The Albay Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) has issued an advisory suspending work in private offices and establishments effective November 9, 2025, until further notice, due to the approach of Typhoon Uwan.

According to PDRRMC-APSEMO Advisory 2025-43, the decision was made based on the DOST-PAGASA Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 4, issued at 11:00 AM today, November 8, 2025. The center of Typhoon Uwan was estimated to be 680 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, or 760 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar, with maximum sustained winds of 140 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 170 km/h. The advisory also orders early dismissal of work in private offices and establishments this afternoon, November 8, 2025.

The suspension excludes establishments crucial for delivering medical emergencies. All residents are urged to cooperate, remain on heightened alert, coordinate closely, mobilize resources as needed, and stay tuned for updates from PAGASA and local authorities.
