Bicol University Extends Asynchronous Classes Following Typhoon Uwan

 Legazpi City – In the wake of Typhoon Uwan, Bicol University has announced the extension of asynchronous classes until November 16, 2025. This decision, formalized in Office Memorandum No. 427, series of 2025, aims to provide students, faculty, and staff ample time to recover and address urgent personal and family matters.
 
The memorandum, issued by the Office of the President on November 11, 2025, applies to all levels and campuses within the university. It directs faculty members to submit an accomplishment report detailing the work completed during this period.
 
The university emphasizes its commitment to the safety and well-being of its academic community, ensuring learning continuity amidst ongoing challenges. Faculty members are encouraged to offer flexible learning activities and reasonable deadlines to accommodate students facing connectivity issues or other typhoon-related difficulties.
 
All academic units are urged to support affected members of the university community, working together to restore normal operations as conditions permit. The announcement concludes with a call for strict compliance from all concerned.
