Daraga KALIPI Presidents Engage in Technical Sharing Session

Daraga, Albay – In a bid to enhance knowledge and capacity, the Local Government of Daraga, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led by Officer-In-Charge Imelda Gonzaga, organized a Technical Sharing Session for the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) Presidents. The session took place on November 20, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Mayor's Conference Room of the Daraga Municipal Hall.
 
According to Gonzaga, the primary objective of the activity was to broaden the understanding and capabilities of the KALIPI presidents regarding critical issues and programs relevant to women. The session served as a platform for sharing expertise and best practices, ensuring that the KALIPI presidents are well-equipped to address the needs and concerns of women in their respective communities.
 
Among the topics discussed was the upcoming 18-day campaign against Violence Against Women (VAW), a significant initiative aimed at raising awareness and combating gender-based violence. Updates regarding the KALIPI Federation were also shared, providing the presidents with the latest information on the organization's activities and initiatives.
 
The event was attended by Mayor Victor U. Perete, Imelda Gonzaga, OIC-MSWDO, Gemma L. Baeza, KALIPI President of the Daraga Chapter, along with the KALIPI Barangay Chapter Presidents and members. The participation of key local officials and KALIPI leaders underscores the municipality's commitment to empowering women and promoting gender equality.
