GSIS Offers 3-Month Grace Period on Emergency Loans for Typhoon-Affected Members

In response to the severe impact of recent typhoons on its members and pensioners, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will implement a three-month grace period (moratorium) on emergency loan payments.

This initiative allows members and pensioners affected by the typhoons to recover and rebuild without the immediate burden of loan repayments. The GSIS aims to alleviate the financial strain on those affected, providing them time to stabilize their finances.

Payment Schedule:

- Loans in November 2025: First payment due April 10, 2026
- Loans in December 2025: First payment due May 10, 2026
- Loans in January 2026: First payment due July 10, 2026
- Loans in February 2026: First payment due August 10, 2026

The GSIS Emergency Loan Program is open from November 7, 2025, to February 7, 2026. Qualified members and pensioners can apply through the GSIS Touch mobile app or at the nearest GSIS branch.
