Legazpi City Suspends Face-to-Face Classes Due to Typhoon Uwan

Legazpi City, Albay – In light of the widespread effects of Typhoon Uwan, the City Government of Legazpi has announced the suspension of face-to-face classes for all levels, both public and private schools. The suspension will be effective from November 12, 2025, to November 15, 2025.
 
The announcement was made by the Legazpi City Disaster and Climate Change Resilience Council in Advisory No. 065, Series of 2025, issued on November 11, 2025, at 8:00 PM. The decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students in Legazpi City and the entire Bicol Region.
 
The official resumption of classes is scheduled for November 17, 2025.
 
City officials advise all schools to implement blended learning modalities to ensure the continuity of students' education during the suspension period. Schools are also instructed to ensure that classrooms are clean and ready for use when students return.
 
The public is encouraged to stay informed through official announcements from the Local Government via usual channels such as radio, Mayor Hisham Ismail's Facebook page, the City Government of Legazpi Facebook page, the CDRRMO Facebook page, and group chats of the League of Barangays and Barangay Secretaries.
